Haflingers were bred in Italy and Austria. Reared in mountainous regions, this breed worked in forestry, agriculture and transportation. Today these horses are popular at under-saddle events, as mounts for adults, at dressage, and at many other competitions. They stand between thirteen and fifteen hands high.
